Three courses. Three stages of the same journey.
Each Vectora course is self-contained, but they connect — you can move from Foundations to the Workshop to the Portfolio Track as your skills develop.
Back to HomeHow each course is structured
Weekly material with clear scope
Each week covers a defined set of ideas, connected to the week before and after. You always know where you are in the course and what's coming next.
Exercises and submissions
You apply each concept through exercises before moving on. Submitted work is reviewed — not just checked against an answer key.
Feedback and iteration
Instructor feedback on submissions tells you what worked and what to improve. That cycle — write, submit, receive feedback, revise — is how the learning actually happens.
AI Foundations Online
A beginner course in Python, working with data, and the core concepts of machine learning, taught through guided practice. Built for newcomers to coding. Spans roughly twelve weeks part-time with weekly feedback. Includes a course completion record.
This course treats the beginner as someone capable of learning rigorous material — not someone to be talked down to. We start from genuine basics and move forward steadily, always with a reason for each step. By the end, you'll be writing Python scripts, loading and exploring datasets, and applying a handful of standard ML models — with enough understanding to know what you're doing and why.
- Python fundamentals and data types
- Working with pandas DataFrames and basic visualisation
- Introduction to scikit-learn and core ML concepts
- Weekly feedback on submitted exercises
- Course completion record issued on finishing
How to progress from here:
After completing Foundations, the Applied Modelling Workshop is the natural next step — it builds on the Python and ML basics you'll have covered.
Applied Modelling Workshop
An intermediate, project-based course on building and evaluating models thoughtfully, with an introduction to good workflow habits. For learners with some Python background. Includes hands-on tasks and code reviews.
This course shifts the emphasis from learning what ML is to learning how to work with it properly. That means understanding what makes a model evaluation trustworthy, how to structure a project so it's reproducible, and what to do when something doesn't work as expected. Code reviews are a core part of the course — an instructor reads your submitted code and responds with specific observations.
- Model selection and evaluation methodology
- Reproducible workflow: environments, versioning, documentation
- Feature engineering and handling messy data
- Code review on major project submissions
- Introduction to good practices in model deployment
Prerequisites:
Some Python experience — either from Foundations or elsewhere. You should be comfortable writing basic scripts and using pandas before starting.
Mentored Portfolio Track
A mentored track guiding learners through a complete applied AI project, from planning to a polished prototype. Suited to those preparing a portfolio. Includes regular mentor sessions and a supportive cohort.
The Portfolio Track is for learners who want to do something substantial — not follow a set of instructions, but define and build a real AI application with mentor support throughout. You'll scope a project, plan your approach, build and evaluate it, and produce documentation that explains what you built and how it works. Mentor sessions run throughout, and you'll be in a cohort with others doing the same thing at the same time.
- Scoping and planning a real AI project
- Regular one-on-one mentor sessions (scheduled flexibly)
- Building and iterating on a working prototype
- Peer cohort for shared learning and accountability
- Final portfolio-ready documentation
Prerequisites:
Comfortable building ML models and debugging Python independently. The Modelling Workshop is good preparation — or equivalent experience from other routes.

AI Foundations is best for:
Someone who wants to understand how Python and machine learning work, starting from scratch, without being rushed.
Applied Modelling is best for:
Someone who already writes Python and wants to learn how to build and evaluate models in a way that holds up in practice.
Portfolio Track is best for:
Someone preparing a portfolio and ready to work through a substantial project with mentor support and peer accountability.
How we maintain course quality
Data privacy
Learner data is stored securely and used only for course management. We don't share it with advertising or marketing services.
Curriculum review cycle
Materials are reviewed after every cohort. Instructor notes and learner feedback feed directly into revisions — no content goes stale.
Feedback turnaround
Written feedback returned within five working days of submission, across all courses. Mentor sessions scheduled within three days of request.
Accurate course records
Completion records are signed and dated by Vectora. We're transparent about the nature of these records — they document completion of a private school course.
Responsive learner support
Admin queries are answered within one working day. During a course cohort, instructor queries are answered within two working days.
Transparent descriptions
Course pages are updated when content changes. We don't describe courses as they were — we describe them as they currently are.
Course fees, published upfront
